masa's

Kaitlin, our part time third roommate left us yesterday :( I'm definitely going to miss seeing this in the living room everyday!

Ok, so maybe it wasn't a huge inflatable mattress shaped as toast but it was definitely a huge blow up mattress that had a headboard and 2 layers! However we did celebrate the last night with a FEAST, a 9 course feast to be exact. It was at this amazing restaurant called Masa's just a couple of streets up from us. At first we started off with a mini, tiny, ultrasmall croisant but quickly moved on to better things. Lets see if we can remember our menu..first was caviar, second was an array of figs and mozarella,a filet of fish and salmon, foie gras (which i later learned is chopped liver) and bananas, quail and squab, beef and lamb, sorbet, and chocolate cake with pistachio sherbet, all topped off with 4 bottles of wine and finished 4 and a half hours later! The dinner and company was so much fun last night!

Tonight we're thinking about getting In and Out Burger..it doesn't seem to have the same finess after last night though :)

our neighbor

So we have lived here for almost 2 whole months and we have seen him a total of maybe 4 times, which makes us even more intrigued by him. This is what we know about him thus far..
1. He is a painter - One day we were going downstairs to the other tower to go to the gym and the sauna and he made an appearance in the elevator! So we happened to follow him, in the least stalkerish way, to the trashcans in the courtyard where we happened to take a glance at his trash, again in the least stalkerish way. There were painted sheets and canvases that he threw away, which makes us think hes a painter..or maybe he just painted a wall in his apartment, but being an actual painter is so much cooler.
2. He's mysterious - He never comes out of his apartment! And by never, we actually mean never. When our fire alarms were going off 10 times an hour, every hour, he was never seen coming out of his apartment. When we happen to be hanging out by our front door and casually looking out the peep hole, is never to be seen. Our windows open out to each others and he has never, not once, even opened his to gain a little fresh air.
3. He likes sugar - The only other time we have ever seen him was at the Sugar Lounge. We were there on our modeling escapade, and he walked in..alone. Who goes to a club on a Friday night, around 11:30, alone?
More to come on our neighbor encounters. We're thinking about making cookies and bringing them over as a house warming gift. Who can refuse homemade cookies?

things we love at the moment

Italy, Unthinkable dresses,Christmas season, monkey, Little Piggy Went to Prada, Big sparkly rings, and comfortable classy jeans

Crepevine in Pacific Heights, Ruby and the Rockits, Bengal kittens, Cute old men with walkers, and Ben and Jerry's pint of ice cream

the most random night ever

The night started off with wanting to go to your ordinary dragqueen show for a little entertainment, which quickly got derailed when we found out we weren't allowed in. So we decided to venture out and find something eat on the next street up. We were walking down the street, when this girl came out of this lounge behind us and shouted..
Nazarena: "Are you girls models?"

Us: "Ha ha ha no"
Nazarena: "Do you want to be?"
Kaitlin: "Yea!!"
That's when the night really began. As we were making our way to back of the lounge, the three of us were looking at each other thinking, what did we get ourselves into? As we got to the back we saw the photographers, we all introduced ourselves and made it clear to them that we had never modeled before. The first flash was taken and whoops, we had no idea what we were doing! Moments later we were modeling by ourselves. Jessie went first while Kaitlin and Stefani took advantage of the club scene.
Then to our surprise we met a very nice woman from Switzerland who sells white blouses. Now when she said blouses, which is plural meaning more than one, but I think she might have forgotten that. She only sells one white blouse, one simple white blouse.
Photographs went on and on and on, but we all got used to not smiling or looking at the camera and people staring at us.
Soon enough as things were winding down, a familiar face walked in...WHO WAS IT? our one and only neighbor, who we have only said no more than four words to in those awkard elevator rides.
We said our goodbyes to everyone who gave us our night and ventured on to a Thai restuarant at 12:30 am.
We ordered our food and as we were reminising about the night we see a young man (not homeless) peeing on the apartment steps! WE ALL RAN OUT AND YELLED AT HIM...just kidding. But he did really pee and then touched his face right after...eww.
On our full stomachs we walked home and knew that our night was a success!

We will keep you posted!
xoxo,
post it girl.

meet your "posties"

Well hello there! We're Jessie and Stefani, and we decided on this lazy Saturday afternoon to write about all the fun things that happen in our apartment. We just moved in almost 2 months ago, and we are infatuated with all of our neighbors and the crazy things that happen around our apartment building in the city.
